Proconex is proud to be a corporate sponsor for the Toys for Tots program this year to help bring toys to less fortunate children during the Holiday season. Since its inception in 1947 by Major Bill Hendricks, USMCR, 5,000 toys were collected the first year and distributed to less fortunate children.
From the first handcrafted toy that founder Bill Hendrick's wife donated, to 72 years later, over 566 million toys have been distributed to children who otherwise would go without toys during the Holidays.
Local Toys for Tots campaigns are the heart of the program as businesses place drop boxes at their locations for employees to donate toys. This year, Proconex employees donated a variety of toys for different age groups that totaled 88 pounds!
